Description: Effective communication is crucial in maintaining good relationships with all those who contact the Center. Answering the phone and dealing with people during the Learning Center hours is an important ministry.
Responsibilities: You will be asked to answer the telephone, receive donations, assist with general questions about the Center, and take messages for the Director and staff during the After School Program.
Description: The Clothing Closet offers new and slightly used clothing, bedding, coats and other items. A donation of $2 per bag is suggested.
Responsibilities: Volunteers are asked to assist the shoppers, sort and restock items when necessary, maintain the order and cleanliness of the Closet.
Description: St. Felix Food Pantry provides emergency food for those in need. The Pantry offers client choice selection of food items and toiletries whenever possible.
Responsibilities: Volunteers are to be welcoming and friendly to those being served. St. Felix Food Pantry provides client choice selection of foods and volunteers are asked to assist the people with their selections. They also restock the shelves when needed and maintain the Pantry.
Description: The After School Program assists primary and elementary school children with homework, computer time and provides assistance with the skills necessary to succeed in school. As a Faith-Based Center, Catholic morals and values are also taught and exhibited.
Responsibilities: You will be asked to assist children with work, give positive reinforcement to assure the child’s success, encourage them when they are struggling with their studies, notify Sister Susanne if you are unable to attend on scheduled days and notify a substitute when you are not available.
