Who We Are

Sister Johnna

Sister Johnna

President

My name is Sister M. Johnna Ciezobka and I have been a Felician Sister for forty-six years. I am originally from Barnesboro, now known as Northern Cambria, Pennsylvania. I did my studies at Carlow University and received a Secondary Education Degree in Social Studies and Theology. Afterwards I went on to receive a Master’s Degree in Family Life Education at Duquesne University also located in Pittsburgh.

Before coming to my present ministry, I was a teacher at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart High School in Coraopolis, Pennsylvania for eleven years. I taught History for a few years then added Religion and Campus Ministry to my agenda.

Then in 1992 after much prayer, I knew in my heart that God was calling me to a new ministry yet to be developed. Sister M. Susanne Dziedzic formerly of the Buffalo, NY Province, and I received permission from our Provincials to begin a new Felician Ministry in Kingstree, South Carolina. Today I am the Program Coordinator which includes the St. Felix Food Pantry, Building and Maintenance, Corporate Compliance and Technology. God has blessed me with many years of service to the people of Williamsburg County and I look forward to many more!
