Food Programs

Food Pantry

St. Felix Food Pantry provides canned goods and other non-perishable food items to registered participants to supplement their monthly groceries.  Increasing food costs, people with fixed incomes and attempts to keep healthy are visible needs of those who are interviewed to qualify. Registrations include Williamsburg County ID, a utility bill with ID name and address as official proof of income required for eligibility. No registrations needed for burnout emergencies.

The Food Pantry is open Tuesdays for a client select grocery bag from 9 AM to 11:30 AM for registered persons.

Additional food programs are offered at Thanksgiving, Easter and other holidays as donations are received. Food drives from churches, schools, organizations, and individuals contribute to the stocking of the Food Pantry. Donations are gladly accepted, and items need to meet expiration dates. Duke Energy, Sisters of Charity of St. Augustine Foundation, SC Knights of Columbus are major donors. Money donations are also welcomed to purchase needed food items.

Blessed Angela Meal

The Blessed Angela Meal day has been moved to the last Tuesday of the month. Area church groups and organizations plan, shop, prepare, serve and deliver the meals to the Felician Center. Since Covid-19, the groups have the option to prepare a hot meal to serve or offer a takeout lunch bag. The program begins at 11 AM and runs until the lunches run out. No registration is needed for this program.

Kids’ Grocery Bags

Kids’ grocery bags assist parents/guardians with the extra mouths to feed during 8 weeks in the summertime. Children who are registered in the learning Adventures are eligible for this program on Fridays.

Kids’ grocery bags are also available before holidays when children are not in school.
