Learning Center
Over-the-counter medication and cleaning products were purchased with Felician Services, Inc. funds. Volunteers were contacted regarding the cancelation of school for two weeks (March 16-31, 2020) by SC State Governor McMaster and State Superintendent Spearman. Special events scheduled during this time were canceled. Volunteers and staff prepared 32 grocery bags containing food, OTC medication, and bleach cleaning products for the Learning Center students. Bags were distributed on March 20, 2020. By mandate of the Governor McMaster of SC, the Education Department CLOSED schools until the end of April. The Learning Center extended its CLOSED period until the end of April. Staff members were given the option to work onsite in isolation.
Food Pantry
Volunteers and employees were notified about decreased office hours. Volunteers and staff prepared fifty “grab ‘n go” grocery bags for Food Pantry participants on Tuesdays after March 17. A variety of over-the-counter medicines, cleaning supplies, pharmacy and grocery gift cards were purchased through funds from Duke Energy Progress. The Felician Center was formally closed as of March 25. The Blessed Angela Meal on March 30 was canceled.
Clothing Closet
Clothing Closet was closed until further notice and Clothing Closet Staff will not report until further notice.
