Kingstree Township Award

Mayor Tisdale with the sisters

The Williamsburg Hometown Chamber celebrates the accomplishments and successes of county businesses, organizations and individuals annually at a banquet. This year's theme was "UNDER THE BIG TOP".  Members of the Hometown Chamber dramatized out various circus acts including clowns, the strong man/woman, Evil Knieval, an animal trainer etc.  A typical southern barbecue meal is served to over 300 guests.  The highlight of the evening is the presentation of awards.

Over the years, the Felician Sisters and the Felician Center have received the organization of the year, citizen of the year, and the humanitarian of the year (two times).  On this particular evening,  Kingstree Mayor Darren Tisdale, spoke about the 30th anniversary of the Felician Sisters in
serving Williamsburg County.  Mayor Tisdale went on to spotlight the Neighborhood Forum project on Thorne Avenue that has "blessed" this
community.  On this 15th day of March 2022, the Mayor presented Sister Carol Piskor, Sister Susanne Dziedzic and Sister Johnna Ciezobka a
HOMETOWN TOWNSHIP plaque. The Sisters received the only standing ovation of the evening.
