Felician Center Celebrates MLK Day

Board members Mary Lisa McGill, Jean Nexsen and Salley Jenkinson joined Sister Carol, Sister Johnna and Sister Susanne at the Williamsburg Residential Facility on Martin Luther King Jr. Day to celebrate with the residents. Sister Susanne conducted a conversation with the residents about who MLK was, his legacy and his place in history. It was quite impressive to hear residents share facts about the activist.  Concluding with the singing of "We Shall Overcome", all prayed for the realty of peace to come to our world today. The Felician Center treated the residents and staff to Kentucky Fried chicken meal boxes. The Sisters returned home to view "A Granddaughter's Dream" a special featuring Yolanda Renee King, activist and only granddaughter of the late MLK.
