Another BDPG Scholar

Kurt Tejero is a 16 yr. old senior at Kingstree Senior High School.  He is originally from the Philippines and returned to the US with his parents in October 2024.  His mother, Claire, is part of an international contract with the Philippines to bring teachers to the US.  The family lived here before for five years and returned to the Philippines for one year before returning according to the contract guidelines.

Kurt is an honor roll student and spent this past summer taking additional courses to establish dual enrollment in Williamsburg Technical College.  His career dream is to be a male nurse in the US.  He has passed all regulatory exams and continues to carry a full load of academics before his graduation in spring 2026.  The scholarship assistance will be applied to the Biology class he will take up in the fall semester.

Kurt is a member of St. Ann Catholic Church and will make his Confirmation in September 2025.
