Confirmation

Instructed by Sister Johnna for the past two years, three high school students from the Philippines were confirmed on September 28 at St. Philip Catholic Church in Lake City. Bishop Jacques Fabre, Bishop of Charleston, SC, officiated the ceremony concelebrated by Rev. Artur Przywara, pastor.

This sacrament confers the Holy Spirit upon the confirmand that includes an anointing with oil. The songs and prayers of the celebration reflect the coming of the Holy Spirit and the gifts of the Holy Spirit on each candidate.

The Felician Sisters treated the Pagal and Tejero families to dinner the evening of the rehearsal. Numerous parishioners from St. Ann Catholic Church in Kingstree, SC attended the Confirmation.
