Neighborhood Forum Summer Project

At the last Neighborhood Forum gathering, discussions were made regarding preparations for the upcoming hurricane season. The local EMS sent materials in this regard for distribution.  Sister Susanne reviewed the materials with the attendees.

Safety is a priority for the Thorne Avenue neighbors going forth.  As a result, eight houses had motion lights installed for safe property surveillance.

One more household had porch railings replaced and a ceiling porch fan for this summer’s temperatures in the 90’s!

The two convents also had generators installed. In the event of loss of power, NF participants will be able to charge their devices with the outside power outages.  Of course, we pray it will not have to happen.

And one more unexpected project happened.  The grasscutter hit a rock that hit the glass door of the Felician Outreach Center.  The door was shattered and interfered with services for one week.  Luckily, the grasscutter was insured and the door was replaced.
