Summer Learning at Felician Center

Some children enjoyed a summer learning adventure on July 24 at the Felician Center. There was a rotation of indoor games e. UNO, shuffleboard, LRC and another card game. Children earned tickets for their winnings that were converted into prizes at the end of the session. Sunshine mobiles and animal crafts were part of the session for a take home project.

Kurt Tejero, volunteer student attending Williamsburg Technical College, assisted with games, snacks and art projects. Jeffrey Panther, board member, picked up and delivered McDonald McNuggets kids meals for snack, and Sister Carol, Sister Johnna and Sister Susanne organized and assisted with the event. Delicious homemade cookies were also made by Chloe Pressley. Prizes donated by Mary Jane Ashe and Pamela Rowson were a big hit at the end of the session. Of course, a takeout ice cream was awarded to all participants.
