On Wednesday, October 8th, some children and some parents travelled to Lynches State Park Environmental Discovery Center in Florence County, SC. An educator from the park delivered a lesson on BIRDS and WORMS for the children that included picking "fake" worms from the grassy area with different kinds of beaks. Indoors the children were able to view some living snakes, turtles, and a baby alligator while exploring various questions and answers on designated tables. Getting into a canoe that was on display and climbing rope bridges among the trees were also some favorite activities. Afterwards, everyone was treated to pizza and wings on the way home.
