Summertime Food Pantry Blessing

The shelves of the Felician Center Food Pantry were literally empty until Jeff Lippert led the Knights of Columbus and St. Vincent DePaul Society to restock for some summertime distribution. Twenty-three Knights collected the food from parishioners at St. Michael Catholic Church, Murrells Inlet, SC on Monday, July 20^th. Ten Knights and two of their wives delivered the food in a donated UHAUL from Low Country Tops on July 21^st. Felician Sisters Johnna, Carol and Susanne greeted the crew with some local volunteers to unload the cases and cases of food items that filled the pantry to its capacity. Additional monetary donations were also donated. Once again children with school at for the summer, children lack school breakfasts and lunches and need more at home, especially when staying with grandparents on fixed incomes. A simple SUBWAY luncheon was served to the donors before their departure.
