The children arrived with some free time for some outdoor play. The day was warm and sunny.
Afterwards, everyone went inside for a story time read by Blakely Hundley, a senior at Williamsburg Academy and this year’s homecoming queen. Blakely chose a kid version of Frankenstein Crayons that delighted the listeners.
Snacks served were doughnuts and juice before the next creative activity. The children decorated pumpkins to take home and after reading a poem about apples, made a bushel of vegetables and fruits to decorate their refrigerator doors. At the end of the session, the children played Halloween Bingo for prizes and received a bag full of treats to take home.
