JOY TO THE WORLD! Area churches and organizations, statewide Knights of Columbus and their wives, Duke Energy, and bountiful benefactors safely and generously participated in the annual holiday programs/projects for Christmas 2021. All kinds of collections were conducted that provided the following:
25 bags of toiletries, Christmas treats for disabled residents of Williamsburg Care Facility and lunch for their staff
15 laundry baskets with paper goods, household supplies, toiletries for senior citizens of Vital Aging
30 “FREE” raffle prize bags for Clothing Closet clients filled with new pillows, towels, nativity sets, food, pharmacy and hardware store gift cards valued at $300 for the 30th anniversary
30 Christmas gifts of clothing, a toy, sweet treats, nativity sets and more for children from the Learning Center and St. Ann Church; an event was held for each group at Felician Center
100 hams, grocery gift cards, candy canes were distributed to Food Pantry clients
The words from various Christmas Carols became more meaningful as the gifts of the Magi were doubled and tripled, “bless all the dear children in God’s tender care”, “be born in us today” and “with true love and charity each other now embrace”. JOY TO THE WORLD!
COVID did not keep Santa away from the children from the Learning Center. He brought presents from Kingstree United Methodist and Williamsburg Presbyterian Churches.
Children dramatized the Christmas story and received Nativity figures from the wives of the Knights of Columbus of SC for each of their homes.
