To continue the 30th anniversary of the presence and ministry of the Felician Sisters in Williamsburg County, PHASE THREE of the NEIGHBORHOOD FORUM is in process. A $50,000 charitable grant from the Sisters of St. Francis, Denver, Colorado was awarded to Felician Center to improve the self-image and standard of living, to offer a more decent appearance to the neighborhood, to invest in some exterior home improvements and to support local business with most our purchase and labor contracts.
The residents have also invested in the program by cleaning outdoor around their homes, removing debris throughout the phases.

As a result of the need and cooperation displayed, there have been more donations from the Felician Center, Duke Energy, Kingstree Presbyterian Church and numerous benefactors that nearly doubled the funding for the project an additional $50,000. Local government assisted in some areas and volunteers also contributed their hands and hearts.
Phase Three installed new by the road mailboxes for those residents who applied for them. Several elderly residents preferred on the porch mailboxes yet to be determined. Hopefully, the mail carriers will be kept safe in their deliveries.
Some basic tree trimming is the next scheduled portion of Phase Three through the month of February. Yard signs down Thorne Avenue indicate which homes are a part of the Neighborhood Project.
The final and fourth phase is slated for the middle of March.
