Felician Leader Summit 2022

To further spiritual and professional growth in a Felician sponsored ministry, five members of the Felician Center travelled to Chicago to participate in the Felician Leader Summit in September 2022. Sponsored by Felician Services Inc. The group was welcomed at Our Lady of Good Counsel for liturgy and supper on the first night of the conference. The CEO’s affirmed their commitment to accept the commission to cooperate with Christ in the spiritual renewal of the world.

The next two days were filled with informational and inspiring speakers on topics related to Franciscan-Felician core values, Solidarity and Compassion, Slavery in the land of the Free, Authority and Franciscan Leadership, Belonging to a Rich Tradition, Corporate Compliance and Tending to Relationships. An introduction to Fill It Forward was presented by Sister Jean Sliwinski. Felician Center was proud to have been already enrolled in the program with the Board members at the 30th anniversary August 2022 board meeting.

There was also an opportunity to put words into action as all the participants engaged in wrapping hundreds of small bars of soap with hotline messages as part of the SOAP project. The bars of soap are distributed into public places to be an alert for persons that might be trapped in human trafficking. Sister Geralyn Mroczkowski, CEO Felician Services and Terry Schweizer, President, Felician Services welcomed, affirmed, and lauded all the participants for their dedication and generosity of service to the Felician sponsored ministries of North America.
