The Felician Center just completed PHASE ONE of the Neighborhood Forum grant provided by the Sisters of St. Francis (Denver, Colorado) Sacred Heart Charitable Fund and Felician Center benefactors. To date, 17 sites received some renovations that included new steps, railings, decks and/or handicap ramps. Each site qualified by attending a mandatory meeting, outdoor cleanup of the property and cooperation with the job needing to be done.
Contractors from Williamsburg County were utilized in an effort to support local business. Additional painting, pressure washing and some yard work was also provided by some volunteer groups including Kingstree Presbyterian Church and Dr. Tiffany Wright, county supervisor, with a team of about 15 Williamsburg County government workers.
