Thorne Avenue Prayer Walk

As part of Mission and Heritage Week, the Felician Center sponsored a PRAYER WALK from one end of Thorne Avenue to the other – 1.5 miles long.  Organized by Jean Nexsen, Mission Integration committee chair and members, the event brought out approximately 80 participants representing board members, neighbors, town officials and Kingstree Police Department representatives. Rev. Ian Geimer, pastor First Baptist church and Felician Center board member led the prayers with the background of Felician Center etc.  The participants stopped at about 8 different houses to pray for the town, county, state, and country, for government and church leaders, businesses, churches, schools, and residents.  After each stop, the pilgrims sang the refrain from” Bless this house” and continued to the next stop.  At the end, all gathered at Felician Center for fellowship and refreshments.

Rev. Ian Geimer, Craig Schutte and Wendell Voiselle lead with prayer and song
