Felician Center Appreciation Event

The Felician Center Board of Directors and Felician Sisters invited benefactors from the coastal area to an APPRECIATION EVENT on Sunday, February 26, 2023.  The venue for the private event was Kimbel Lodge at Hobcaw Barony just south of Georgetown, SC.

Board members Salley Jenkinson and Jean Nexsen representing the Mission Integration and Institutional Advancement Committees co-chaired the special event.  Felician Sisters, Sister Carol, Sister Johnna and Sister Susanne wanted to personally meet, greet and especially thank as many of the coastal areas who have blessed the People of God from Williamsburg County for over 30 years.

Jean Nexsen, Mission Integration chairperson, presented some history, the core values and mission of Felician Center.  The Felician Sisters presented a power point created by Kat Tisdale to showcase the various outreach services that are offered.  This was a direct response to the gospel of Matthew 25 “to feed the hungry, care for the sick, clothe the naked”.

Crystal Morris from Tasteful Creations from Andrews, SC deliciously catered the event.  Seasonal camellias, Spanish moss and more flowers were the table arrangements arranged by Mary Jean Holts, Salley Jenkinson and Jean Nexsen.

Another APPRECIATION EVENT is being planned in the upstate in Greenville, SC.
